Varyag aircraft carrier hull number may be 01

China’s aircraft carrier Varyag return to Dalian, assisted by seven tugs after four days of sea trials, today 10:30, 11:30 Chinese aircraft carrier docked. it was found that there were navy personnel on it, weapons and equipment of it have been covered with cloth. The aircraft carrier was first discovered that the mast of it was hoisted the national flag and other colorful flags, 12:30, Chinese navy ’88′ support ship also returned to the dock with the assistance of tugs and docked in the front of the aircraft carrier.

Note that navy ’88′ support ship and Varyag aircraft carrier both hung signal flags while returning, Navy 88 support ship hung the signal flag of “88y”, and Varyag aircraft carrier hung the signal flag of “01y”. “Y” means dragging anchor in common international maritime signal flags.
